The recent research report published by Infosys (http://www.infosys.com/media/press_releases/EA-business-strategy.asp) has some interesting facts about Enterprise Architecture and its promotion to be part of the business strategy. The Enterprise Architecture has started to win the trust of business leaders across industry. The report was based on research conducted across 260 CIOs, Chief Architects and business and IT managers involved in the EA programs.
Organizations can see Enterprise Architecture as a long term investment program. Like any investment portfolio, returns will not be visible upfront but if the EA program is built upon the core fundamental tenets, chances of success are much higher. The overall maturity taking place across IT industry has increased the chances of success for EA programs even better.
May be the days are not far when the Enterprise Architecture will be part of the core organizational business strategy across the industry at large.
